Philosophy and Curriculum
Plymouth Children's Center follows the National Accreditation Commission (NAC)
guidelines. The curriculum is appropriate for the age span of the children in the group and is implemented with attention
to the different needs, interests, and developmental levels of those children. The materials are bias free. We place emphasis
on the "process" of learning rather than on the "finished product." The teachers want children to be actively
involved in the learning process and to develop a sense of curiosity and wonder.
Each day provides a balance between
quiet and active play, inside and outside activities (weather permitting), small and large muscle projects, free choices,
and nutritious snacks.
Our curriculum contains no religious component so all religious backgrounds are welcome.
